Dr. Talon File, DC, MSNHP, CDNP
I grew up in Springfield, Illinois, where strong community values and an active lifestyle shaped the way I view health and well-being. My journey into healthcare began through movement and performance, earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and competing in collegiate baseball. Through athletics, I saw firsthand how the body adapts, heals, and performs best when it’s supported as a whole not just treated for isolated problems.
That perspective led me to pursue chiropractic at Logan University, where I spent 3.5 years studying how the nervous system serves as the body’s master controller coordinating movement, regulating function, and influencing how every system in the body communicates and adapts. Rather than focusing only on muscles or joints, this training deepened my understanding of how restoring proper nervous system function can have far-reaching effects throughout the entire body.
During my training, I also discovered a growing passion for nutrition and its role in supporting recovery, resilience, and long-term health. This led me to enroll in the Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance program, allowing me to further integrate lifestyle and nutritional strategies into care.
Outside of practice, I enjoy staying active, exercising, fishing, hiking, cooking, and exploring new places on road trips with my girlfriend, Danielle, and our two dogs Maze, a German Shepherd, and Kona, a Golden Retriever. My goal is to help you shift your perspective on what’s possible for your health and guide you toward a more empowered version of yourself.
